Barcelona might have humbled 6-0 SPL rivals Hibernian on Thursday night, but Dundee United manager Craig Levein is convinced his side still have a chance.
Last season Dundee United hosted the Catalan giants in a pre-season exhibition match, which should have ended in a 1-0 victory to the home side.
However, a blundering referee chalked off a perfectly legitamet 2nd half Barry Robson header and then awarded a dubious penalty, which former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry put away at the 2nd attempt.
This season, Craig Levein thinks its payback time and has confidence in his own side´s ability.
'There is no doubt they are a joy to watch when they are in full flow,' Craig Levein told the Dundee Courier.
'We will have to work extremely hard and we also need to keep possession of the ball, when we get it, or we will be chasing our tails for 90 minutes.'
'For me it's about having the bottle against top players, not just to do the defensive side of things, but to really feel comfortable about taking the ball in tight areas.'
'Last year we tried to pass the ball and I think we benefited more from that than the fitness aspect.'
'My biggest expectation is to be better than last year and the signs are that we should be better.'
