United Set To Offer Spanish Trialist A Contract

Dundee United manager Craig Levein is set to offer trialist Pablo Carrascosa a deal to remain at Tannadice on a permanent basis.

The Spanish striker joined Dundee United on trial at the start of July and has clearly impressed manager Levein.

After losing top goalscorer Noel Hunt to Reading this week, Levein hinted that he was considering offering Carrascosa a deal.

'Pablo is still here. I'm toying over whether to offer him a contract or not - I'm leaning towards possibly giving him one,' admitted Levein.

Levein has a better selection of attacking players ahead of the Barcelona friendly, than this time last season.

'Last season I sat here and had one recognised striker available to play - Noel Hunt,' continued Levein.

'We added Jordan Robertson but he was a 19-year-old who hadn't played a first-team match.'

'Players we had last season have a year's experience, players like Danny Swanson and Prince Buaben.'

Awww, you poor thing.
I can understand why you are laughing, it must hurt knowing you threw away your season like that!
Afterall, that was the ONLY thing you won last season..and it was Dundee United who threw it away!
Wow, when you put it like that, Rangers owe Dundee United, otherwise you would have been completely humilated last season!!!
