Linked With Celtic - But Keeper Wants To Stay
Despite being linked with a move to SPL Champions Celtic, goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska has claimed that he wants to remain a Dundee United player.
The 26-year old Polish keeper, who is friends with Artur Boruc, is out of contract at the end of the season, but has enjoyed his time at Tannadice and is interested in remaining beyond the summer of 2009.
"I spoke to the manager about a new contract and we will see what happens after I meet him again,' Zaluska told Setanta Sports.
'I want to be here for the Uefa Cup as there is a good feeling we can qualify by finishing third."
"The players believe something good is happening at this club and we have to keep winning matches. Winning away and keeping clean sheets always makes me happy."
Dundee United manager Craig Levein signed an extension to his contract last week, that will keep him at the club until May 2012.
With at least 8 of the first team squad out of contract in the summer, it is hoped that Levein committing himself to the club will encourage the players to do the same.
