Celtic Signing is Slightly Suspicious

Conspiracy theorists unite... the Willo Flood transfer saga reeks of something more sinister, after the Irish midfielder signed for Celtic on Friday afternoon.

The Dundee United player was named as the Man-of-the-Match by many, but missed a glorious opportunity to finish off Celtic in extra-time and then blew the crucial penalty that allowed Scott McDonald to seal a Celtic win.

Flood should have remained on-loan at Tannadice until the end season, but Celtic approached his Cardiff City owners to negotiate his move to Parkhead, suspiciously this occurred the morning after his penalty-kick had struck Artur Boruc`s crossbar!

'I have been a fan of Celtic all my life and this is a dream come true,' admitted Flood to the BBC after completing his Parkhead move.

I would like to thank Dundee United FC for all they have done for me. I have enjoyed my time there immensely and I wish the club all the best for the future."

'My focus is now Celtic and I can't wait to get started with my new club.'

You are a complete idiot for even thinking about writing this. You seem to forget that never before has it reached the stage where the same player had to take a second penalty kick in a penalty decider. Flood scored with his first kick. Are you some sort of retard to claim the second kick was missed deliberately? Did the big Hun Wilkie miss his deliberately too? Between Flood, your keeper and the other nine players who finished the game, United had plenty of opportunity to beat Celtic in the shoot-out. Sour grapes is a bad way to look like a sportsman. Frankly the game should never have reached this stage. Celtic had more chances to win this game than most others all season. Grow up.

oofft, sour grapes mr arab, im sure mr w flood is a very professional player, he wouldnt have anything to gain because he'd be cup-tied

GERS..72, I applaud your common sense.

Added to how Flood also scored with his first penalty...
Jamie1967
and i suppose the goalie wasnt trying to save any penalties either??
GERS..72
Oh dear, serious accusations to make against a professional footballer. He's an ex player of ours and I'll admit I never thought he'd make it at the highest level (too slight), but will always stick up for one of ours.

john thompson saved floods second penalty!
