Discovery Cup format announced

Discovery Cup format announced

Both Dundee and Dundee United have met to finalise the format of this years Discovery Cup.

As mentioned last week in Vital Football news, there was a meeting between the clubs to decide whether to have the 4 team format that was successful last year or to have a 'one off' derby match between Dundee FC and Dundee United.

This season will mark the 2nd Discovery Cup tournament and will be played at Dens Park, Dundee on July 22nd 2006. This will be a two team tournament and a 'one off' derby game.

I personally welcome the decision and cannot wait for the briefs to go on sale for this tie.
