Daly looks to Europe
Jon Daly says that Dundee United are now firmly switching their gaze from the Scottish Cup to Europe.
Despite the glorious memories of a tremendous season last term, Daly is well aware that his side must start to seriously focus upon their imminent entry into the Europa League on 19th August.
"We may have won the Scottish Cup but none of the players are resting on their laurels," he told the Dundee Courier. "We have to look ahead and we have Europe on the horizon, which will be great for everybody.
"Getting into the groups would be worth a lot of money to the club and I am sure the chairman and the other directors are wanting us to go as far as we can," Daly added.
"Also, the fans have not seen European football for a few years so it would nice to do it for them as well."
Daly hopes that his club together with Rangers, Celtic, Hibernian and Motherwell can really do the business in Europe and in turn help give Scottish football a genuine boost.
"I think last season wasn`t a good one for Scotland in terms of Europe so I hope we can go on a decent run this year," he said.
"If we can do the business and others can too that would help lift the country."
