Dillon calls for summer football

Dublin-born defender Sean Dillon has called for the Scottish Premier League to switch to summer football.

His words came after he saw the impact that such a move had in his homeland as results improved in Europe for those clubs concerned.

"Ireland switched to summer football and it improved results in Europe," he told the Daily Record.

"Teams are midway through their season going into Europe and it really helps."
