Stormy flight shakes Arabs

 Stormy flight shakes Arabs

Dundee United players were actually scared for their safety after flying out for their pre-season training session in Austria, according to midfielder Danny Swanson.

A heavy thunderstorm and a difficult landing at Munich airport left the Arabs squad fearing for their own futures on their way to their Austrian training camp in Obertraun.

"The flight was pretty bad with turbulence and a thunderstorm. The landing was ropey too," Swanson told the Scottish Sun.

"I was able to cope with it, but David Goodwillie was sitting next to me and was a bit worried," he continued.

"At one point he grabbed my hand, it felt a bit dodgy. We're a close team but not that close!

"I told him to settle himself down but he said 'I don't want to die here'."
