Striker awaits his fate

Striker awaits his fate

On trial Dundee United striker Kevin Smith will find out this week whether he has managed to earn himself a deal at Notts County.

Raith Rovers are also understood to be closely watching the progress of the 23-year-old who has already had a couple of successful loan spells with them in the past.

"I have played 30 minutes in two trial matches this week for Notts County and enjoyed it," he told the Daily Record.

"The manager has told me that he will speak to me this weekend so we will see if he offers me any sort of a deal.

"I have also spoken to John McGlynn at Raith Rovers so that option is still on the go," he added. "We will just have to wait and see what happens."
