Arabs facing Conway bid

Middlesbrough are expected to this week relaunch their efforts to sign Dundee United midfielder Craig Conway.

Manager Gordon Strachan is set to offer a fee of in the region of 550,000 as he continues to rebuild his squad at the Riverside.

The Arabs don't want to sell but sizeable debts of around 5.5m could force their hand if they were to receive a more acceptable offer.

Strachan recently added Rangers duo Kris Boyd and Kevin Thomson and Celtic's Stephen McManus to his ranks as the Scottish element on Teesside continues to expand.
