Daly feared for colleagues
Jon Daly was worried that one of his colleagues could have seen their European dreams ended before they had even began during the weekend 0-0 draw with Polish side Arka Gdynia in Austria.
Both Craig Conway and David Goodwillie were on the receiving end of bad challenges and Keith Watson elbowed in the face during the opening half.
"It's probably the most fouls I've seen in the first half of a game," Daly told the Scottish Sun. "The ref didn't really get a hold on the match.
"He probably could have even given a couple of red cards in the first 20 minutes when there were a few dangerous tackles," he added. "The tackle on Goodwillie was the type where you can see lads get their legs broken and put out for a season."
Meanwhile, Arabs manager Peter Houston has dismissed out-of-hand a proposed £550,000 bid from Middlesbrough for midfielder Conway.
"I've had nothing at all about Conway. That figure would not tempt me," he said.
