Trialist in squad for Glentoran

Trialist in squad for Glentoran

Dundee United boss Peter Houston was expecting to use most of his 20-man squad for the pre-season friendly against Glentoran today.

Lithuanian trialist Irmantas Zelmikas was one of the group who flew out to Belfast yesterday in readiness for the game.

Meanwhile, Danny Swanson, Jon Daly and Keith Watson were also present, but not expected to take an part in proceedings.

"I`ll be looking to give as many guys a part of the game as possible," Houston told the Evening Telegraph.

"The only guys who are coming out who won`t be playing a part are Danny Swanson, who`s feeling his Achilles, Jon Daly, who`s got a bit of a groin strain, and Keith Watson, whose hamstring`s a bit tight.

"The knocks are nothing major, so they`ll travel, but they might not be stripped. I`ll just wait and see what the reaction is today."
