Striker set for Notts County move

Striker set for Notts County move

Kevin Smith could be on his way out of Tannadice following a successful recent trial at Notts County.

The Edinburgh-born marksman crossed the border a couple of weeks ago in a bid to secure a permanent deal at Meadow Lane.

Raith Rovers were also monitoring his progress after a couple of notable loan periods there in the past.

However, the 23-year impressed during a recent game against Stoke City and now appears set to complete a move to the Magpies.

"Kevin played against Stoke City and apparently did really well," Arabs boss Peter Houston told The Courier. "His agent Darren Jackson phoned me to say they were ready to make him an offer.

"It is up to Kevin if he wants to take it now, but if he does he will go with our best wishes."
