Boro won't increase Conway offer
Middlesbrough are refusing to increase their offer for Dundee United's £1.2m valued winger Craig Conway.
Boro manager Gordon Strachan is understood to have turned to the 25-year-old Scottish international after being priced out of a move for his other main wing target Andrew Driver - whose club Hearts set his valuation at £3.5m.
Strachan is believed to be ready to pay £700,000 for Conway, while still maintaining an interest in Driver after already splashing out around £5m in transfer fees this summer.
But despite talks between both parties over Conway, neither appears ready to give way, which would appear to seriously increase hopes of the former Ayr United winger remaining at Tannadice.
Meanwhile, the situation is further complicated at Boro as they are also being heavily linked with Estonian left-sided forward Tarmo Kink, who was rumoured to have flown in for transfer talks with them at the end of last week.
