Boss was right to blast

Boss was right to blast

Weekend marksman Damian Casalinuovo says that manager Peter Houston was right to launch into an angry tirade at the break of their unconvincing 1-1 draw at Glentoran.

The Argentine striker then went on to head a last-minute equaliser following a cross from fellow substitute Jennison Myrie-Williams as the lethargic visitors finally escaped with a draw.

"The boss wasn't happy at half-time because we were sloppy and you couldn't blame him for being upset," Casalinuovo told the Daily Record. "Although it is pre-season, our performance should have been better.

"But when the season starts in three weeks you'll see a better United," he continued. "We had a great trip to Austria, one of the best pre-seasons I've ever had, but we know performances will have to pick up now."
