Scott learning again

Scott Robertson is getting to know his team-mates all over again after finally overcoming his injury problems at Tannadice.

Robertson was recruited from local rivals Dundee a couple of years ago and soon established himself as a permanent fixture in the side, to such an extent that he earned full international recognition with a debut for Scotland against Argentina at Hampden Park.

But a groin problem then checked his progress and left him making a late comeback that witnessed him being only a substitute in the Scottish Cup final last May.

"Coming back into the team has been a bit strange because I feel like the new boy," he told The Courier.

"When I first joined the club, David Goodwillie wasn't considered a first-team striker but now he is probably the main man up front. Jon Daly was out injured as well so playing with him is a pretty new experience.

"Then in midfield guys like Jennison Myrie-Williams, Danny Cadamarteri, Danny Swanson and a few others are all new to me really," he added.

"We still have the regulars who I played with at first but there are a whole load of guys who I am just learning about."
