Cup hero still needs assurance

Cup hero still needs assurance

Dundee United striker David Goodwillie has admitted that he still doesn't feel properly established in the side.

The 21-year-old has already made a name for himself after famously scoring in the Arabs' Scottish Cup final triumph over Ross County at Hampden Park back in May.

However, the talented young forward still thinks he has some way to go before he is totally settled in the senior team at Tannadice.

"I still don't feel like I'm established in the team so I know I have to improve a bit to stay there," Goodwillie told the Daily Record.

"We have so many good strikers and the competition is intense. Fair enough, I scored in the Cup Final but that's in the past now and you've got to look forward."
