No deal yet for Zelmikas

 No deal yet for Zelmikas

Dundee United transfer target Irmantas Zelmikas may have flown home but the Arabs haven't dismissed hope of adding him to their squad.

The 30-year-old Lithuanian international has impressed manager Peter Houston during pre-season, especially in a recent friendly at Hull City when Zelmikas had a very eventful game and netted at both ends.

As a result talks have been going on between both parties since the beginning of the week. However, no deal was announced before the central defender travelled back home.

The Arabs have one more pre-season game at home to Wigan Athletic remaining before finally opening their league campaign at St Mirren on 14th August.
