Pump up the volume - Daly

Dundee United skipper Jon Daly says that the Tannadice crowd can really unsettle AEK Athens when the two clubs meet in the Europa League later this month.

Daly is urging the Tangerine army to seriously turn up the volume as the clubs contest a place in the next round in their qualifying first-leg clash on 19th August.

The Arabs are certain to face a hostile atmosphere when making the return trip seven days later.

But Daly is reckoning on his own supporters giving the Greeks a real taste of their own medicine in the opening game on Tayside.

"We know their fans have a reputation for being volatile so the away leg will be an adventure for us all," he told the Daily Record.

"But before that our fans can give them something to think about. The United fans love their club as much as anyone."
