Don't underestimate United

Wigan Athletic new boy James McArthur has warned his colleagues not to take Dundee United too lightly in their pre-season meeting at Tannadice today.

The former Hamilton Academical midfielder completed a move to the Latics a fortnight ago and is relishing a return north of the border with his new club.

But he was warning them not to underestimate their latest opponents after witnessing their capabilities first-hand last season.

"The Wigan boys don't know a lot about United but they're a good side. Guys like Craig Conway have been linked to big clubs," he told the Daily Record.

"So other teams are looking at United's players and that tells you how good they are. At Hamilton we always seemed to do well against them but I still see them as a top-four SPL club."
