Defender delighted at progress
Garry Kenneth is relishing the prospect of involvement with Scotland this week after being named as one of the replacements in their squad for the game in Sweden on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old defender was brought in along with his Dundee United colleague Scott Robertson after former Arab loan centre-back Andy Webster was forced to withdraw.
And he couldn't be happier as to how things are going for him from a personal perspective at the present time.
"2010 has been a fantastic year so far," he told BBC Sport. "When the gaffer [Craig Levein] left United to take the Scotland job, we had a bad result and people thought we wouldn't have a good year. But we got things back on track and went on to win the Scottish Cup.
"I also got my first Scotland call-up in March and now I'm starting the new season with another call-up - it doesn't get much better than that."
