Hostility could help brave Arabs
Damian Casalinuovo believes that his Dundee United side could turn the anticipated hostile nature of the AEK Athens fans to their own advantage in their Europa League clash.
The Arabs were given a possible indication of just what they might face after the Greek club saw their weekend game abandoned due to a riot in which their manager Dusan Bajevi was even attacked by his own supporters.
But Casalinuovo reckons that if the AEK fans are just as quick to turn against their own side in a couple of weeks time it can seriously work to the advantage of the visitors.
"I heard about what happened in Athens from one of the other players and then I read it in the Argentinian newspapers online," he told The Courier. "There are three or four Argentinians playing for AEK so it was big news back home.
"It was crazy and who knows what will happen if we win," he continued. "Mind you, the pressure could be on AEK now because their fans will demand a result. That might work to our advantage."
