Defender unconcerned at verdict

Dundee United's Sean Dillon doesn't really care what AEK Athens' coach Dusan Bajevic made of the Arabs' opening day performance at St Mirren.

Bajevic was in attendance to make a final check on his latest Europa League opponents as they earned a late point through a very timely Jon Daly equaliser at St Mirren Park.

However, one person not especially concerned with the overall verdict of the AEK supremo was the visitors' 27-year-old defender Dillon.

"It doesn't really bother me what he thinks," the Dubliner told the Daily Record. "It would be really difficult to get an honest look at our team going on that performance.

"Certainly in the second half we dominated and showed we could play but I still don't think we were as sharp as we can be all over the pitch.

"We didn't pass it as crisply as we can so I would like to think there's a lot more to come from us," Dillon continued. "At times we showed our qualities but we didn't do it enough. We had a lot of half chances and near misses but we weren't at our best."
