Sofa so good for Houston
Dundee United boss Peter Houston has spent hours on the sofa in front of his television studying DVDs of Europa League opponents AEK Athens.
The Greek season hasn't actually started yet, which has denied Houston the opportunity of watching AEK in person. But fortunately he has since received considerable help from Rangers coach Kenny McDowall and Blackburn Rovers' Stevie Kean in his quest to fully assess the opposition.
"Had there been a chance to watch AEK in person then I would have taken it but unfortunately there hasn't been," Houston told the Scottish Sun. "However, you can often learn just as much by watching DVDs and I've managed to get my hands on five of their games.
"Paul Hegarty was across to watch them and I have footage from that, while thanks to Kenny McDowall and Stevie Kean I got my hands on other games.
"I'm happy enough I've seen them in action and so far I've learned they are a right good side," he added. "We face a very difficult task but it's not something we're frightened of."
