It's still in the balance says Scott

Midfielder Scott Robertson is still struggling to explain Dundee United's disappointing display against AEK Athens in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Arabs must travel to Greece for the return leg next week trailing by a single goal to their experienced opponents.

Rafik Djebbour's early strike separated the two clubs at Tannadice as the home side made their first European appearance in five years.

"I felt that we underperformed and did not get to the level that we know we can reach," Robertson told the Daily Record. "Our final ball wasn't good enough and simple things like our passing let us down. I don't know why that was.

"It wasn't anything to do with nerves on my part, I just can't put my finger on why it never went as well as we hoped it would," he continued. "The one thing that we can take from the match is that at 1-0 the tie certainly isn't over.

"It is very much still in the balance. We know that we need to go there and score and then hopefully not concede."
