'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Venue farce continues in Athens

Dundee United may now play their Europa League qualifier second-leg in Athens without any home fans in attendance.

The tie was initially switched to Palionios' stadium after AEK's own playing surface was deemed unplayable, but the goalposts there were then damaged following a home game on Tuesday night.

That has in turn left UEFA considering staging the match at the ground of AEK's rivals Olympiakos after extending the deadline for the Greek club to find an alternative venue.

The Arabs will be trying to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first-leg and have insisted they will be making an official complaint about the whole ridiculous affair.
