 Severin joins United

Dundee United have signed Watford's 31-year-old former Scottish international midfielder Scott Severin on a free transfer.

Severin has agreed a two-year deal at Tannadice after struggling to keep hold of a first-team place with the Hornets.

He only joined them from Aberdeen last summer but totalled only eleven senior appearances at Vicarage Road.

Prior to that he enjoyed five successful seasons at Pittodrie, where he was also captain after originally starting his career with Hearts.

Severin also managed sixteen games whilst on loan at Kilmarnock during the second part of last season, and is vastly experienced with more than 350 appearances in his career.
