 Gomis gives perfect response

Peter Houston says that he received the perfect response from midfielder Morgaro Gomis at the weekend.

The 25-year-old reacted to being dropped for the clash with Hearts by stepping from the bench and netting a superb equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Tynecastle.

"Gomis was left out because his form hasn't been great. But the wee man answered me in the right way, which is what I expected from him," Houston told the Daily Record.

"It was like he hit the shot and said, 'Get it right up ye!' It was a cracking goal that was great for him and even better for the whole team."
