'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No substitute for games

Released striker Damian Casalinuovo says that it was the frustration of being stuck on the bench that eventually forced his exit from Tannadice.

The 23-year-old Argentine netted eight times in 30 appearances last term but has now moved onto SPL rivals Hamilton Academical after finding opportunities increasingly scarce on Tayside.

"I wasn't playing at Dundee United. I had been on the bench for five games and hadn't had the opportunity to play," he told The Scotsman.

"So this is a great opportunity to come and try to be a regular. I think now it's a good time to change things."
