Swanson will soon be back

 Swanson will soon be back

Arabs midfielder Danny Swanson will return much earlier than expected after initial fears of a torn hamstring proved unfounded.

His scan results instead indicated a weakness in his lower back and therefore he has been put on a fitness and strengthening programme in order to correct the problem.

"It's not a tear as we feared which is a relief," coach Gary Kirk told The Courier. "There's a mechanical problem at the bottom of Danny's back so he's been given exercises to do.

"He'll be out for two to three weeks which is better than the 6-8 weeks we'd have been without him for if it had been a tear."
