Confidence high for Rangers test

Confidence high for Rangers test

Dundee United midfielder Scott Robertson has said his team will travel to Rangers this weekend with plenty of self-belief.

The 25-year-old reported that confidence was high within the camp following their morale-boosting first win of the season over Aberdeen at the weekend.

"Since I`ve been here we`ve always been encouraged by the management that we`re good enough to go to a place like Ibrox and get a result," he told The Press and Journal . "We have come close to winning there on several occasions when we`ve drawn.

"We have not won at either Ibrox or Parkhead in my time here, but we definitely feel as though we`re getting closer," continued Robertson. "I think about five or six years ago it was regarded as something of an impossibility to go to Glasgow and win.

"But we`ll be positive going into Saturday`s game and I`m sure the team will feel they can kick on from the Aberdeen victory, hopefully getting another three points."
