We can keep them out - Pernis

Dundee United goalkeeper Dusan Pernis believes that his side can follow the midweek example of Rangers and steal a point against them this weekend.

Walter Smith's charges frustrated Manchester United in their opening Champions League game in midweek, and the Arabs' Slovakian keeper was hoping his own team can do the same to them at Ibrox.

"Rangers` defence was excellent against Manchester United but it will be a totally different type of game this weekend," he told the Scottish Herald. "It is at Ibrox so they won`t sit in and play a counter-attacking game, it will be up to them to do the attacking.

"Perhaps it is us who will have to be solid at the back and break quickly," Pernis speculated. "We have the players to do that if that`s what happens, although our natural game is to get on the ball and attack as well so it should be a good match."
