 Houston wants decent run

Peter Houston is looking for a further boost this weekend for Dundee United's local derby with St Johnstone at Tannadice.

The Tangerines went down to a 4-0 defeat at Rangers last weekend, but recovered their form when finally progressing through a difficult Co-operative Insurance Cup tie at Ross County in midweek.

"It`s a huge game. I think any derby means a lot of passion and excitement," Houston told stv.tv. "There will be a few tackles flying in here and there because both teams will be wanting to win the match.

"But I only look at it from our perspective and what we`ve got to make sure of is trying to build on Wednesday night`s good result up at Ross County. We want to string a few results together. Starting here at Tannadice would be nice."
