Houston confident ahead of big test

Peter Houston reckons his improving side can be the first to take points off Celtic this weekend.

The Glagow giants arrive on Sunday lunchtime having not lost a Scottish Premier League or Co-operative Insurance Cup game so far this season.

However, Houston believes the Arabs are well capable of inflicting serious damage on that proud record.

"Celtic are on a magnificent run," he told the Dundee Courier. "They have won 15 matches in a row in the SPL going back into last season and that is an amazing achievement ... But the way I look at it, at Tannadice we can beat anyone on our day.

"Celtic will come and attack us, that's for sure, but we have the ability to have a go at them," Houston continued. "On our day and with the crowd behind us I think we have a really good chance. Our form has improved lately and that is without having our strongest team on the park.

"When we get everyone back fit again then it should get even better. I can't praise our players highly enough so far."
