 Tangerines reject Rangers bid

Dundee United have turned down a bid from Rangers for leading goalscorer David Goodwillie.

The Glasgow club are believed to have only offered around half of the Taysiders £1.5m valuation of the Scottish international who has already scored eleven times this season.

And that follows Rangers earlier accepting Birmingham City's £700,000 bid for their own top marksman Kenny Miller, with the player now deciding on whether to make the move.

English Premier League debutants Blackpool are also understood to be interested in Goodwillie, while German club Kaiserslautern have similarly been in attendance at recent games.

"Kaiserslautern have watched him recently and English Premier League clubs have watched him," Goodwillie's agent Jim Harkins told BBC Scotland.

"They have staggered their viewing, coming up to see him to decide whether he can maintain his level of performance. He has maintained his level of performance consistently."
