'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Houston praises Terrors

Peter Houston praised his players after Dundee United recorded a fifth successive league victory against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Tannadice.

Midfielder Danny Swanson netted the only goal just before half-time as the home side recovered fourth place in the table following Kilmarnock's earlier victory over Motherwell.

"Great credit to them, they've done magnificently for the football club," Houston told BBC Scotland. "It's all right having games in hand but you've got to go and get the points with it and that's what we've done.

"I'm just happy to consolidate that we're top six this season," he added. "Nobody can catch us now so we're delighted with that."

The Terrors now have a well-deserved eleven day break until taking on Motherwell in their Scottish Cup quarter-final replay on Wednesday week.
