Houston pleased to come through

Peter Houston was naturally enough pleased with Dundee United's latest victory over St Johnstone.

The Tangerines further consolidated fourth place in the table as Johnny Russell and substitute David Robertson were both on target in a 2-0 success at Tannadice.

"I asked them before the game to try and get a clean sheet and get three points and they've done that," Houston told BBC Scotland. "I'm pleased with the three points and I thought it was merited.

"Credit to St Johnstone, they worked hard. They were always dangerous," he added. "Dusan Pernis had a great save from Murray Davidson. It all stemmed from us giving the ball away and doing the wrong things and that's the thing that disappoints me."
