Houston hits out at dismissals
Dundee United manager Peter Houston hit out after seeing three of his players sent-off during their 4-0 home defeat to Rangers.
The Tangerines ended with just eight men after referee Wilie Collum awarded three penalties while dismissing Mihael Kovacevic, Sean Dillon and Morgaro Gomis.
And although Houston wasn't disputing the actual award of the spot-kicks, he rather fears for the future of the game if every attempted tackle is destined to result in a sending-off.
"I worry about the game and where it's going to if we are going to have straight red cards for every incident that's happening in the box," Houston told BBC Scotland. "I am frustrated that we have had three players sent off in a game when there was hardly a tackle put in.
"I am proud of the way the players played. I thought in the first half there was nothing in the game apart from the sending off and a penalty kick," he added.
"They hadn't scored from open play until we went down to nine men. Don't tell me there were four goals of a difference in the game."
