Goodwillie takes award

Goodwillie takes award

Dundee United's leading goalscorer David Goodwillie has won the PFA players' young player of the year trophy in Scotland.

The 22-year-old has already scored eighteen times for the Tannadice club this term, and also made his full international debut against the Faroe Islands back in November.

Emilio Izaguirre of Celtic took the major award after finishing ahead of team-mate Gary Hooper, Rangers winger Steven Naismith and Kilmarnock midfielder Alexei Eremenko.

Nikica Jelavic's overhead kick for Rangers against Aberdeen last month was chosen as goal of the season.
