Goal ace won't come cheap
Dundee United will demand well over £1m for star striker David Goodwillie. The 22-year-old is set to leave Tannadice over the summer after reported interest from both Rangers and Celtic.
However, Tangerines chairman Stephen Thompson says that any club taking him on will certainly have to offer big money if they are to finally acquire his services.
"That will certainly be well in excess of £1million," Thompson told the Daily Record. "A number of clubs have contacted me about Goodwillie and they can follow that up with a bid. Whether we accept it or not is another matter but I won't be playing silly buggers because I can't be bothered with that stuff.
"David's worth a lot more than the money mentioned so far. He's only 22 and is the Young Player of the Year," he added. "I've seen the kind of money other players have gone for recently and we've got someone here who can go all the way in the game."
Goodwillie scored nineteen times last season and also earned his first senior international cap for Scotland in November.
