Veteran defender signs for Falkirk

Veteran defender signs for Falkirk

Veteran Dundee United defender Darren Dods has left the club and signed for Falkirk.

Dods, 36, was already out of contract at Tannadice after spending the past four years with the club.

He managed only a handful of appearances throughout the whole of last season after finding himself sidelined with a knee problem that required surgery.

The former Scotland 'B' cap originally began his career at hometown Hibernian before moving to St Johnstone and then Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

He went on to make more than one hundred senior appearances for the Tangerines and scored five goals.
