Brothers in arms

Former Dundee United brothers Ross and Ryan McCord have joined new manager Paul Hartley at Alloa Athletic.

Last season the pair found themselves sent out on loan, with Ross at Montrose while Ryan played for Airdrie United.

And then at the end of the campaign United manager Peter Houston opted against offering them new deals at Tannadice.

"We are delighted to have the paperwork completed and have both signed now as Alloa players," a spokesman for Athletic told the Dundee Courier. "Ryan impressed against Alloa last season in the league for Airdrie and we have heard loads of good things about Ross as well."
