Gomis joins Birmingham

Birmingham City have completed the capture of released Dundee United midfielder Morgaro Gomis.

The 25-year-old Senegal international has signed a two-year deal with the Blues despite the recent departure of manager Alex McLeish.

Gomis previously had a spell with Montpellier in his native France before drifting around several non-league clubs in England.

He eventually joined the Terrors from Cowdenbeath four years ago and went on to make more than 150 senior appearances.

But he rejected new terms at Tannadice at the end of last season and thus became a free agent.
