Conway to join Cardiff

Dundee United's out-of-contract Scottish international winger Craig Conway has agreed terms with Cardiff City despite recent interest from SPL champions Rangers.

Conway, 26, will have a medical in the next couple of days and had also been a target of Watford, Leeds United and Leicester City. His agent, Mark Donaghy, held talks with Rangers last week but no offer was forthcoming.

Cardiff's new manager Malky Mackay had already been keen to sign Conway during his time in charge at Watford.

The former Ayr United winger was recruited by ex-United boss Craig Brewster in June 2006. He went on to make more than 150 appearances for the Taysiders while scoring sixteen goals, including a brace in their memorable Scottish Cup final win last year.
