United held in friendly

United held in friendly

Dundee United were held 1-1 by Bohemians in their latest pre-season friendly on Tuesday evening.

Garry Kenneth earned the visitors a first-half lead only for their opponents to later equalise.

That performance followed Johnny Russsell and David Goodwillie being on target in a 2-1 success at Drogheda United on Sunday.

Good work between Scott Robertson and Keith Watson allowed Russell to find the top corner but Jordan White headed an equaliser before the interval.

A tremendous solo strike from substitute Goodwillie with seven minutes remaining eventually won it for the visitors.

Recent signings Willo Flood and John Rankin were both introduced during the second period.
