'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Another glorious failure - Houston

Peter Houston praised his side despite them exiting the Europa League on away goals following a 3-2 home victory against Slask Wroclaw.

Strikes from Keith Watson, David Goodwillie and Jon Daly (pen) threatened to send them through until their Polish opponents pulled one back late on.

"If I get the same effort through the SPL season we'll be back in Europe next season," Houston told BBC Scotland. "It's another glorious failure, but I couldn't ask any more of the players."

The Terrors scored twice inside the first five minutes to completely turn around the tie but were ultimately left disappointed in front of a bumper eleven thousand-plus attendance.

"We started off in a fabulous manner and got two goals back very quickly," Houston added. "I thought we were very unlucky. The players were magnificent tonight and the crowd got behind us."
