Blackburn fail in Goodwillie bid

Blackburn Rovers are the latest club to have a bid rejected for Dundee United's in-demand striker David Goodwillie.

The offer from the Ewood Park club is understood to be worth around 1.7m and was submitted on Thursday evening.

However, that is still some way short of United's 2m asking price for the 22-year-old Scottish international who scored nineteen times last season.

SPL champions Rangers and Blackpool have already previously failed with bids.
