Terrors seek positive response

Dundee United must bounce back quickly from their heavy defeat at Celtic when entertaining SPL newcomers Dunfermline Athletic at Tannadice this weekend.

Midfielder Danny Swanson could earn himself a recall after featuring for the full duration of a behind-closed-doors friendly with Hibernian. Otherwise, Scott Severin is the hosts only ongoing casualty with a triple leg break.

"When you go to Celtic Park and Ibrox you know you are going to get punished if you make mistakes and that's what happened," Terrors striker Jon Daly told the Daily Record. "We have not defended properly for the first two goals and gifted them those goals.

"We were pushing forward and they hit us on the break a couple of times," he added. "We will take it on the chin and move on and try and get three points on Saturday."

John Potter is available in defence for the visitors after successfully appealing against a red card issued last week.

Meanwhile, Kevin Rutkiewicz [thigh] and Andy Barrowman [calf] are also in contention.
