Trio impressed by talented teenager
Teenage midfielder Scott Allan has alerted the attentions of both Celtic and Rangers as well as Newcastle United, with all three clubs already believed to have made enquiries.
The 19-year-old is in the final year of his current deal at Tannadice and has sufficiently impressed for manager Peter Houston to offer him a new three-year contract.
Otherwise the Scotland Under-21 international would be permitted to speak to other clubs as early as January, although United are expected to seek compensation of around £400,000 should they lose his services.
Glasgow-born Allan only made his senior debut in July and has since featured in three SPL games whilst also representing his country earlier this week in a 0-0 draw with Bulgaria.
