Russell returns for Hibs clash

Dundee United welcome back striker Johnny Russell from suspension for their weekend trip to Hibernian.

Keith Watson also returns to the fold but fellow defender Sean Dillon is doubtful, while Scotland Under-21 international Scott Allan is again likely to miss out after recently turning down a new deal. Celtic continue to be linked with a move for the nineteen-year-old midfielder.

"We are expecting to face a group of Hibs players on a high after their cup win and looking to kick on from there in the league," manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. "Leigh Griffiths and Garry O'Connor are two excellent strikers.

"They seem to be getting a good partnership going up front and we know they are both very dangerous players when they're on their game," he continued. "So we will have to keep an eye on them. We got a clean sheet in midweek and the boys will be looking to build on that."

Winger Danny Galbraith is ruled out for Hibs with strained ankle ligaments and Matt Thornhill, Sean Welsh and Phil Airey are still unavailable.
